INSTITUTE OF INSPECTORS OF STOCK OF N.S.W.

The Conference was opened by the Chief Veterinary Surgeon, Mr. Max Henry, on Monday, April 4th, at the Conference Hall of the Commonwealth Institute of Accountants.
Mr. Henry explained that as the new Minister for Agriculture had not yet been appointed by Cabinet, he had been asked to open the Conference. He welcomed all those who were present and was pleased to see a larger gathering in the room than had attended for some considerable period. He made special reference to some of the older members who were retiring front the service after a long and honourable career.
He did not wish to speak at length as he was to address the Conference after lunch, and he hoped that the proceedings would be valuable to the Inspectors from an educational point of view, and expressed pleasure at again seeing them all In person.
A vote of thanks to Mr. Henry concluded the Opening Ceremony.
