HENDRA VIRUS UPDATE

This presentation will review the history of Hendra virus outbreaks, give an overview of the characteristics of the virus, and discuss the diagnostic tests for identification of Hendra virus infection and the samples that should be collected for exclusion testing. In addition, an update will be provided on upcoming research programs, vaccination and human therapeutics.
